The limited browser storage used to secure access, maintain authorised sessions and remember choices you request.

1. What this notice covers

This notice explains how Midas Compute uses cookies, local storage, session storage and similar browser technologies on midascompute.com, including the protected demo, private data room, secure-share pages and other restricted workspaces. These technologies can remember a preference, maintain an authorised session or help deliver a requested service.

Midas Compute does not currently use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, pixels, social-media tracking, behavioural profiling or cross-site tracking on this Site. We use limited first-party browser storage only where needed to provide security, access or a preference you request.

Because no optional tracking technology is active, the Site does not ask you to consent to analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, optional technology will remain off until the required choice has been made.

2. Browser storage currently in use

The following first-party records may be stored by the Site, depending on the pages and services you use:

  • Protected demo session key. After successful access, the protected demo places a first-party encryption key in session storage under midas_demo_session_key_v1. This keeps the demo unlocked during the active browser-tab session. It expires when the session ends or you clear session storage. It is not used for analytics, advertising or profiling.
  • Notice preference. Public pages may use local storage under midasCookieNoticeDismissed solely to remember that the storage notice has been dismissed. It remains until browser storage is cleared.
  • Private data-room access. The data room may place an authentication token in local storage under midasDataroomToken so that authorised access can continue across pages. It remains until logout, browser storage is cleared, the token expires or the service rejects it.
  • Administrative workspace access. An authorised administrator session may be held in local storage under midasAdminToken. It remains until logout, browser storage is cleared, the token expires or the service rejects it.
  • Secure-share access. Secure document packages may use session storage under midasSharePackageSession to maintain access within the current browser-tab session.
  • Sourcing workspace access. The private sourcing workspace may use session storage under midasSourcingSession to maintain access within the current browser-tab session.

The demo password is processed locally in your browser and is not submitted to Midas by the demo page. The demo does not record which team profiles or sections you view.

3. Why this storage is necessary

Session storage ordinarily lasts only for the active browser-tab session. Local storage can remain after the tab or browser is closed until it is cleared or removed by the Site. The authentication tokens and encryption keys listed above are used to deliver content or access expressly requested by an authorised user. The notice preference records a user-interface choice. None of these records is used to infer interests, build an advertising profile or track activity across unrelated websites.

We treat this storage as strictly necessary or functionally essential to the relevant security, access or preference feature. Where consent is required by applicable law for any future non-essential technology, that technology will remain inactive until an appropriate choice has been provided.

4. Delivery and security logs

Our hosting and content-delivery providers may process ordinary request information such as IP address, requested URL, browser or device information, timestamps, and delivery or security logs. This server-side processing is described in our Privacy Notice and is separate from browser cookies.

These logs support delivery, availability, abuse prevention, incident investigation and troubleshooting. They are not used by Midas to serve behavioural advertising or to create a profile of your activity across third-party services.

5. Your controls

You can inspect, block or clear cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Clearing session storage will end the relevant tab-based session. Clearing local storage may dismiss a saved preference, sign you out of a restricted area or require access to be authorised again. Blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent protected content or workspace features from working as requested.

Some browsers transmit Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals. Because Midas does not sell personal information, use targeted advertising or operate cross-site tracking through the Site, these signals do not alter the Site’s current behaviour. We will reassess that position if our technology or legal obligations change.

6. Third-party destinations

The Site may link to third-party websites or services. If you follow a link, that third party may set its own cookies or use other technology under its own notice. Midas does not control storage placed by a third party after you leave the Site.

7. Changes and contact

We may update this notice if the Site begins using a new browser technology or if an existing technology changes. If optional analytics, advertising or similar non-essential technology is introduced, we will update the notice and obtain consent before activation where applicable law requires it.
